If this scenario makes sense to you then do it. Any reasonably sane person would see through this scam in a minute. It probably wont be the first crazy move you’ve made.

This is the latest trend for the scammers and it is not reserved for only Yahoo. The thieves make you think it’s a real sale because the ‘shipper’ or escrow company already has the car. They will even promise to ship after receipt of only the deposit, that way you can inspect the car before you send the rest of the money. What they are trying to do is scam a few hundred bucks out of many people.

Another current indicator of fraud is the guy claiming to have had a recent tracheotomy, that’s why he doesn’t want to communicate by phone.

Stay away!! Just remember to use common sense. If you are looking for a unique car and are forced to buy long distance, buy from a dealer. Someone with a reputation.
